MFOB FEATURED BOOK: The Two-Family House

The setting is Brooklyn, 1947. In the midst of a blizzard, in a two-family brownstone, two babies are born, minutes apart. The mothers are sisters by marriage: dutiful, quiet Rose and warm, generous Helen. Raising their families side by side, Rose and Helen now share an impenetrable bond forged by the choices made during that winter night. As the years progress, the friendship between the two women begins to unravel. Heartbreak wars with happiness in this multigenerational story woven around the deepest of secrets.
