MFOB featured book: Days of Wonder
Sparked by the real-life true-crime situation of a friend, Days of Wonder follows two wildly-in-love, 15-year-old New York City kids, both terrified of the boy’s brutal father. Their fantasy about getting rid of him results in one horrifying night, when the two find themselves accused of attempted murder. While the wealthy boy is set free and vanishes, the girl, the daughter of a single mom, is sent to prison, and while there, discovers she is pregnant and is forced to give up her baby for adoption. When she is released early, she has three driving needs: To find her daughter, to find her boyfriend, and to find out what really happened that night. About guilt, innocence, reinvention and the persistence of love.
